VARICOSE VEIN TREATMENTS
Faulty valves and weakened vein walls may lead to twisted and/or enlarged veins near the surface of the skin. An estimated 40% of women and 25% of men suffer from varicose veins and nonfunctional valves in their leg veins. Today, most of these patients can be treated non-surgically using laser or radio frequency endovenous ablation of the greater saphenous vein. It is an office procedure that takes about an hour to perform and does not require any skin incision. Patients are able to return to normal activity the same day.

Risk Factors Include:
Family history of Varicose Veins
Women are more likely than men
Obesity
Aging
Smoking
Blood clots
Prolong standing
