PERIPHERAL ARTERIAL DISEASE (PAD)
When your legs don't get enough blood flow due to blocked arteries, the condition is known as PAD. The blockage is most commonly from arteriosclerosis, hardening of the arteries. In the early stages, PAD causes pain in your legs, but in the advanced stages, it can result in gangrene and limb loss.

Risk Factors Include:
Diabetes
High Cholesterol
Smoking
Hypertension
Aging

Common Symptoms:
Cramping pain in the thigh or calf upon walking
Pain on top of the foot while in bed
Non-healing sores on the foot
